Celebrating Outstanding GCSE Results and Continued Improvement

Preston Manor School was buzzing with excitement today as students received their GCSE results which reflected the hard work and commitment shown by them and their teachers. We were also thrilled to celebrate an impressive array of individual achievements, and sizeable increases in students' Maths and English results. Additionally, the results also continue with the year-on-year trajectory of improvement and are firmly in the top 20th percentile of schools across the country.
Miya Duerte-Singh was delighted with her exceptional eight grade 9s. She stated that she was “pleasantly surprised” with her results, and spoke very highly of all of her teachers and thanked them for their tremendous support to help her achieve those results. Her chosen A-Levels are English Literature, Art and History.
Additional huge congratulations to Aarya Patel, who achieved an outstanding six Grade 9 results across subjects including English, Maths, Biology, French and History. Aarya is intending to go on to study A-levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. Aarya said
“I’m very proud of myself and I give most of the credit to my teachers who pushed me hard to get to this stage. I hope to go and study Mechanical Engineering at Cambridge after my A-levels.”
Several other students celebrated outstanding grades, especially Prince Gyang, Riva Dias, Zaina Hussein, Serafina Bhudia and Chloe Vithanage, who attained Grades 7, 8 and 9 in most of their subjects. These high achievers attributed their impressive results to consistent support, effort, and dedication.
The Head of Year 11, Ms Dixon, said,
“I am extremely proud of our students and everything they have achieved. It’s been an incredible five year journey where they have consistently shown great dedication and hard work. These results reflect all their efforts in that time. I am very grateful for all the continuous and fantastic support from parents and staff which has been so beneficial for our young people.”
Head of Upper School, Mr Phillips, was very pleased with the overall results, which reflect the continual improvements being made at Preston Manor School.
“I’m delighted to have seen so many of our students with smiles on their faces. There have been some real success stories today and our students should be proud of their achievements. In addition to the successes of our high achievers, there have also been some success stories of students who achieved well above target grades. I wish all of them the very best of luck in the next phase of their education journey and look forward to next year as we continue on our exciting journey of improvement at Preston Manor School”.
