The Summer 2025 GCSE exams are now over. GCSE Results Day will take place on Thursday 21st August and further information can be found below.
GCSE Results Day
GCSE Results Day will take place on Thursday 21st August. Students will be able to collect a summary candidate statement of their results between 9.00am – 11.00am.
- If your child wishes any other person (including family members) to collect the results on their behalf, they must send in a signed letter of authorisation with the collector. On Results Day, the named person must bring identification in order to receive the results.
- A summary candidate statement of results and support information will be sent to students’ school email account from 11.00am on Results Day.
- No results will be given out by telephone under any circumstances.
- Students who have supplied the Exams Office with a stamped addressed envelope by the end of the summer term will receive a summary candidate statement of results through the normal post. Letters will be posted on Thursday 21st August.
Post Results Services
Preston Manor School staff will be on-site and available to help with any queries that may arise on Results Day.
The Sixth Form Centre will be open (internal candidates only) on Results Day, for students wishing to discuss their pathway or accept a place. Students unable to attend the Sixth Form centre on the day should contact Ms Snoad, or the 6th Form team.
Students requesting a Review of Results (ROR) must know that their marks, including their overall grade, can also be lowered due to the enquiry. Further details and associated fees will be made available and members of staff will be on-site to discuss appropriate guidance on the day.
Certificates
- Certificates arrive in school about three months after Results Day, information about the despatch of certificates will be given on Results Day.
- Certificates may be collected on behalf of the candidate by a third party, provided they have written authorisation to do so.
- Certificates will be retained by the School for one year, unclaimed certificates may be destroyed
- Applications for replacement certificates must be made directly to the Awarding Body, there is a charge for this service.
