GCSE and A-Level Results Summer 2024

We were delighted to report that we saw a sizeable increase in both our GCSE and A-Level results.  It’s testament to how hard the staff and students have worked over the past 2 years and more. 

Some highlights include:

GCSE

• An increase from 0.02 to 0.25 in our overall Progress 8 score at GCSE 
• Increase in students achieving 4+ and 5+ English and Maths
• Increase in Attainment 8 from the previous year

Improvements in all of the following:

• 22% of all grades achieved were a 7+
• 219 grades 8 & 9s were achieved 
• 10 students achieved 10 GCSEs at Grade 7 - 9
• 15 students achieved 8 GCSEs at Grade 7 - 9
• 7 students achieved 8 GCSEs at Grade 8 - 9
• 65 Grade 9s, 154 Grade 8s and 216 Grade 7s - significantly higher than the previous year

A-Level

• An improvement of around 2 ALPs scores at A-Level
• 80% of students have gone on to Russell Group or Silver/Gold standard Universities from our Sixth Form
• All significant A-Level measurements improved from the previous year.
• No gaps in the achievement of disadvantaged students at post 16
• A/A* and A*-C grades increased substantially
