Simpson Thacher/Impetus Professional Day - All Child
On Tuesday 8th July, All Child Corporate partners Impetus hosted a fun and interactive workshop alongside law firm Simpson Thacher to practice conflict-resolution, communication and reflective practice - and ultimately to inspire students for future career pathways.
The workshop was a fantastic opportunity for students to meet volunteers from a corporate setting and hear directly from them on their post-school journeys, as well as meet and work with young people from a different AllChild school and build on their personal development goals with their Link Worker. Everyone there threw themselves into all the activities, and it was a testament to the school.
"The young people worked exceptionally well during the visit and gained a lot of insight from the planned activities. Many had never even travelled to this area of London, let alone spent time in such a spectacular building. This opportunity allowed young people to feel inspired and positive about their futures, with several saying they hope to work in a corporate setting one day. I felt proud to be the Link Worker representing young people. We look forward to even more future moments like these, and thank you for your partnership!"
