Preston Manor School GCSE results reflect the school’s ongoing upward trend
Preston Manor School was buzzing with excitement today as students received their GCSE results, reflecting the school’s ongoing upward trend. We were also thrilled to celebrate an impressive array of individual achievements.
Congratulations to Wesley Raposo who achieved Grades 8 and 9 in his subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science and Maths. He will stay at Preston Manor Sixth Form and will go on to study A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. "I am extremely grateful to all my teachers and family for always supporting me and pushing me beyond what I thought was possible."
Several students celebrated outstanding grades, especially Darius Mititica, Ronak Patel, and Aqdas Chowdhury, who attained Grades 8 and 9 in most of their subjects. These high achievers attributed their impressive results to consistent effort and dedication. Aqdas Chowdhury, who secured four grade 9s and five grade 8s, arrived early to collect his results and commented; "I want to thank all my teachers for their incredible support during this stressful time. Without their dedication, I wouldn’t have achieved those top grades."
Ronak Patel, another high-achieving student who earned five grade 9s and three grade 8s, shared, "I'm proud of my achievements and very grateful for the extra time and support my teachers provided. I’m excited to continue my journey at Preston Manor’s Sixth Form."
The Director of Student Development for Year 11, Ms Ali said, “I am extremely proud of our students. They have worked tirelessly, overcoming challenges and achieving far more than exams alone can measure. However, today is about celebrating their exam results, and I am truly delighted for them. We have seen outstanding results this year. I want to congratulate all of our students for their dedication and extend my gratitude to their parents and the staff who have supported them throughout their time at Preston Manor.”
Head of Upper School, Mr Phillips was very pleased with the overall results and as with the A-Levels, the GCSEs have seen a positive increase from the previous year in key measurable outcomes. “I’m delighted that we have seen the improvements we have for the staff and students who worked so hard this year. The effort by the students has been outstanding. Well done and congratulations. There are few greater feelings than watching a student open their envelope and scream with delight. I know many will stay with us for Year 12, but I want to wish all of the students the very best of luck with the next stage of their education.”
