Metroline Visit
Selected students visited Metroline recently, where they had an opportunity to meet Metroline managers in a boardroom environment, and they were able to present a series of questions from some extensive research they had done.
The topic was "Will they share our stories with bus drivers? And, will you share our stories with TFL and ask them for more 245 buses at peak times?"
The students did an INCREDIBLE job with their delivery and presentation skills. Not only did they both promise to do this, they agreed to contact TFL and specifically ask for a "school bus" route for the 245. This bus would still be available for members of the public, however, it would ensure that the bus would simply start from our school area rather than its original start near Alperton.
The students also got to experience what it's like inside a control room at Metroline and were able to witness live interactions with bus drivers who were on their routes.
The next step will be sitting down with the students to celebrate and create a CV where they will write down the skills they've learnt and reflect on all they've achieved.
