Emergency amendments to School Day (Secondary School) Tuesday 23 June
Due to the very high temperatures forecast for tomorrow, Tuesday 23rd June, Preston Manor Upper School will be closing at 1.30pm.
A further decision will be made for Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th June following further updates from the Met Office and the Department for Education. Temperatures in many classrooms will be too high for both staff and students. For tomorrow, students are invited to wear their PE kits.
Should students wish not to wear PE kits and wear school uniform, please note that there is no requirement for ties and blazers to be worn. It remains an expectation that all other aspects of school uniform must be adhered to.
Please ensure that your son/daughter has plenty of fluids with them tomorrow and through the rest of the week. All students are able to access school meals tomorrow, but hot food will not be available. Food will be available at break time.
Detentions will take place from 1.30 -1.50 in the air-conditioned Main Hall.
The school day at Preston Manor Lower School will remain unchanged and finish at the normal time.
